Hey guys, we've got the next patch available for preview on our "test client," a separate version of HoN that we use to test upcoming content.
We need as much testing on this as possible. We've got tons of code fixes and they need to be thoroughly tested. We've also made some updates to how match making works and we need as many people as possible to give it a try.
Here's a sneak peak at some of the changes that can be found in the test client:
- New str hero, Balphagore
- Tons of long-standing bug fixes
* Fixed things like devourer's hook from appearing to come from random directions
* Fixed going the "long way" when eating a tree
- Some game resources load prior to entering match making queue, meaning you shouldn't have to wait as long for other players to load
- Other match making updates to more reliably find games if you are at the low/high end of the spectrum, as well as to more reliably replace players who fail to load
And of course, tons of balance improvements.

NOTE: If you have custom key binds for HoN, you'll want to backup your startup.cfg file, located in \my documents\heroes of newerth\game. Installing the test client will replace this file with default values (clearing any custom binds).
Please note that many gameplay changes in these test clients are not final and should not be discussed outside of our test client feedback forum. We need 'warm bodies' to test match making, so if you don't have time to give feedback that's OK, but if you are interested please join us on IRC to obtain information as to how to access the private beta-beta forum.
