I wanted to send out an email to let everyone know that HoN is going retail on Wednesday, May 12 @ 4:00pm EST (-5 GMT). Starting Wednesday, May 5 @ 4:00pm EST (-5 GMT) we will allow accounts that purchase (or have already pre-purchased) to claim nicknames of accounts that are not pre-purchased. If there is a nickname you want or if you would like to secure your own nickname, please take the time to purchase your account now instead of later.

Retail release date has been set. HoN's Open Beta will come to an end on Wednesday, May 12th @ 4:00pm EST, 2 weeks from today. It has been an amazing beta process and we appreciate the support of all our fans!

 Interview: S2 Games' co-founder talks about Heroes of Newerth's upcoming launch plans

With the launch of the open beta for Heroes of Newerth, it seems that the game is in the home stretch of its mainline development. How do you and the team feel about the game now that it's almost ready to be launched in a commercial form?

We feel the game is feature complete (as is), stable, and content rich. However, we will operate Heroes of Newerth as a service. This means that the game will never really be finished. We plan to constantly make updates with new heroes, items, and features. As long as there is significant enough demand (which thus far has proven to not be a problem) we will continue to expand HoN's offerings.

- Life Steal items, except for Abyssal Skull, are now exclusive attack modifiers (will not stack with Frostburn, Frostwolf's Skull, etc)
- Fixed an issue where the loading race number carries over to the next game, it should be reset properly each match now
- Fixed an issue where players who tried to add friends during the first few days of open beta experienced issues trying to request new friends got a message indicating they had already requested them and needed to wait. They should no longer need to wait any longer than 60 seconds to re-request their a friend
- Fixed an issue where certain players would always be flagged with a PSR of "N/A", resulting in 100% win chance for their team
- The notification history now adds the most recent notifications to the top of the list
- Right clicking images for the various game mode/options on the "Join Game" notification should now close the notification properly
- Added new UI_CMD() AddTemplateListItemWithSortReversed() that takes the same parameters as AddTemplateListItemWithSort() but adds the newest elements to the top of the list instead of the end (so the newest item appears at the top of the widget.)

Fayde - Next Upcoming AGI Hellbourne Hero

 I think she is the brand new OR hero from S2Games, the Ganker AGI hero, and S2Idejder call her the Jungling Hero Killer...Stealth and Deadly, wait for her in the next patch 0.3.4 !

This should be updated and going live tomorrow sometime.

To those of you unfamiliar with the pre-beta test client, it's a special client that updates and installs separately from the regular beta client. When we have content that we know is going to require some more thorough testing, we put it through the test client to get the obvious bugs/issues out of the way (in addition to feedback on experimental balance changes). Some people like to ask "what's the point of the main beta test, then?" The second client really doesn't diminish the value or meaning of the primary beta test. Rather than put out a patch/update to the beta client that we know will have some glaring issues, we run it through this secondary process first. This actually helps the main beta test by not slowing it down with potentially game-breaking issues (our test patches on the pre-beta client receive minimal testing and often we'll patch multiple days in a row as we work on it, a process which would be quite troublesome if attempted on the main beta client). 

We'll be posting the link to the pre-beta test client in the topic of that channel, as well as information as to where to contribute feedback and discuss the patches.

Agi/Int Hero Contest!

Hey guys, we enjoyed the results from the strength hero contest and decided that we wanted to extend that to the other attribute classes as well. We want to keep the community as involved as possible with the game and this is a big part of that. I would love if everyone submitted a hero and then helped in the judging.

Also keep in mind only pre-purchased accounts can submit hero ideas, so if you were waiting to buy the game now might be a good time for it!

Phade - Next Upcoming HoN Chick ?

 Got some progress here for the color, still touching up some things..S2Los



So as what we can see in S2Cracky's blog, there's a zbrush video of Phade/Fade, just like Deadwood before.So it mean she'll be the next upcoming hero, should be Hellbourne AGI hero I think.But unfortunately, I still don't know when she will be released !So stay tune guys !

- IM notifications only pop up once every 2 minutes now, however the IM count and any IM conversations will still be updated real time.
- Fixed the MOTD from popping up over and over as you exit games
- Fixed chat channels saving
- If Engineer has a token and spawns a steam turret, then a duplicate token is no longer dropped on the ground
- Fixed another exploit with Engineer turret

Test Client Note: I need you guys to focus test the engineer turret + courier stuff again to make sure nothing broke with stuff like the courier picking up token, combining items, or any weird engineer gold exploits. Get that mod that lets you see hidden inventories and test it again.

Hero Description

The Saboteurs were sent to infiltrate the Hellbourne as double agents for the Legion centuries ago. At first, the Legion's plan seemed to be working as key information on the Hellbourne reached Legion commanders. Soon however, the flow of information stopped and the Saboteurs were forgotten. Having succumbed to the great power the the Hellbourne influence, the Saboteurs now fight for those who were once their enemies - using a combination of magic and modern explosive to clean the battlefields of their former allies.

HoN Launch Party - New INT Legion Hero Next Week Patch

We will have 1 new hero in on the next patch next week, as what you guys can see in the interview video of Ruby Mae from HonCast with S2Maliken.Also they plan to release more new heroes during the open beta and 3 more heroes in the retail.
Who will be the 61th hero? Is it the actuall 61th hero or maybe Phade or those Turtle guy?
I'm pretty jealous seeing Breakcypk and Hunter_ from Honcast.They are cool and I admire them, hope someday I can have my blog famous.Just keep dreaming and working !
I can't wait for the next hero and patch, also the surprising upcoming feature !
