Some design happenings for today and yesterday...
- We settled on the hero we're doing after Empath. Well, it's either after Empath, or after the hero after Empath. [S2]DivA and I played the new hero a few times in a 1v1 mid setting. It's going to be a very unique hero in terms of role and playstyle, so it'll be interesting to see community reaction on release.
- Empath's code was completed today, but as of my writing, has yet to be committed and tested. This unfortunately means we won't be able to put Empath out this week. The reason she's needed this code, however, is because her ultimate is doing something no other heroes in HoN or DotA can do. It'll be worth it in the end!
- We had competitors give us a general survey of the state of the game in terms of heroes. A lot of really interesting, and often surprising, data came from it. We're going to use this data to build that alignment patch that [S2]DivA mentioned in his thread here: http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=208812 When it finally comes, the changelog will be huge.
