Note2: The SBT & RCT clients are both PC only. So to Mac/Linux users... sorry, but you are out of luck!

Game Master (GM)
Almost everyone has encountered a problematic player and had a game ruined. A smaller percentage of people may be part of the problem themselves. It is no secret that bad manners and questionable behavior runs rampant in the community at all tiers of play, and that this is clamping down on the level of enjoyment for the vast majority of players. For this reason, the Heroes of Newerth Game Master (GM) Team was created as a group of trained, vetted volunteers who spend their free time in the interest of improving the community for all to enjoy. Game Masters may be identified by their maroon names and a Sheriff's Star icon.

Minimum Requirements
The GM Team is a close-knit team that puts a premium on communication and teamwork. We take pride in the weight of our work, and understand that to better the community, we must make personal sacrifices. For this reason, we ask that all applicants must:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Show a good command of the English language and be capable of presenting themselves in a professional manner.
• Have prior experience in dealing with customers, or show willingness in learning how to do so.
• Dedicate a good portion of their free time to handling cases (estimated 3+ hours a week).
• Be able to work both as an individual and as a member of a team.

This is a volunteer position--you will not be paid. However, we do include plenty of perks for this hazardous job.

Super Beta Tester (SBT)
Take part in the testing of new patches and content in a semi-competitive environment before they are released. Help uncover bugs and balance issues to make sure the patches that go live are ready for prime time.

Minimum Requirements

• 1700 PSR (Recommended)
• 1700 MMR (Required)
• Available to play 1-2 test games/night during peak testing phases
  • (Hours are primarily US-based nights; eg. Anytime between 14:00-0:00 GMT-5)
• Ability to provide clear and concise feedback. An emphasis on logical reasoning, sound game mechanics knowledge and English writing skills.
  • Being opinionated is definitely a good thing, as long as it is communicated in a proper manner. No QQ plox
• Must be able to excel in semi-competitive "in-house" games with a high-degree of skill, in addition to a solid knowledge of all hero-types and player-roles.
  • After the initial review phase, each applicant will participate in a "Trial" weekend, where their skills will be tested in-game.

We are still reading through everyone's applications, and are always looking for more active testers! The normal process takes about 2 weeks to sort through a set of applicants before getting to the trial phase, which occur once every 3-4 weeks. Retail Candidate Tester (RCT)
Take part in the testing of new patches and content during the week before they are released. Help uncover bugs to make sure that patches go live without or being broken!

Minimum Requirements

• Available to play 1-2 test games/night during peak testing phases the week before a patch is released.
  • (Hours are primarily US-based nights; eg. Anytime between 14:00-0:00 GMT-5)
• Knowledge of game mechanics and English writing skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to play games of varying skill level.

We are looking to fill this roster quickly to supplement our current testing of new content. Keep in mind that this is not Super Beta Testers, this is a new tester position that's intention is to play as many games as possible on a new patch before it goes live!
