Yogscast - Martyr Hero Spotlight
And read about [EG]Yoda and [KD]Rexi Pro-Player Insight regarding Fayde Changes via GosuGamer
[KD] Rexi :
“ Fayde is at least viable, since she works almost like NA from DotA, aka Nerubian Assassin. The problem is that she does not have a long range manaburn like NA used to have, so it doesn't work in mid as well. But heroes like Deadwood are played in mid, too, and Fayde is a lot better than DW in the middle laning phase. But there are some "hard" melee counters to Fayde, like Hellbringer, Forsaken Archer, and Arachna. I'm quite sure Fayde will be seen a lot more in the future and, to be honest, you could even lane her in the short lane against, like, Bubbles.
About Martyr, I'm not so sure. Martyr's skills are amazing, but he is really level dependent, so I'm not sure if he works in a trilane, since the 2 support don't usually get levels or farm. Martyr is a good long/short laner, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. A well-geared Martyr, with his awesome heals and damage reduction, carries a team like Soul Reaper does, but there just might be better options. If I would get Martyr in a setup, it would probably be with heroes like Corrupted Disciple, Soul Reaper, Armadon, etc., heroes that are made to deal damage over time as long as they are alive in the fight long.
I love the new Nullfire Blade and the fact that they removed the Attack Modifier from Slither. Andromeda nerfs were called for; she was quite strong. Behemoth is still quite strong even though he got nerfed; he needed a bit of the nerfbat, too.”
[EG] YoDa :
“ Martyr won't have any impact for a while as he'll just be autobanned. I haven't played him yet, but I don't think he's very good. Kind of like an Empath, but worse. I like Fayde and hope the changes will make her good enough to be viable, as the gank-heavy early game that she creates would be a refreshing relief from the farmfests that plague current competitive HoN.”
And just FYI, as what I had posted many times in twitter, blogger comment, and chatbox, we will have Bloodhunter Rework and Keeper of the Forest rework.
